2011 Bottom Half Class Championship
The 2011 Bottom-Half Tournament was held in Grand Rapids over the weekend of June 25th.
- Grand Rapids master Kevin Czuhai (above) repeated as Bottom Half Champion. Ratko Bojanovic [Grand Rapids] and Michael Chen [St. Joseph] tied for 2nd.
- Ian Edgerle [East Grand Rapids] is the Under 1900 state champion.
- Alan Sun [Canton] won the Under 1700.
- Chris Stapleton [Grand Rapids] won on tie-break over Forrest Reddick [Roseville] to become Under 1500 champion.
- Kyle Sheffer [Flint] won the Under 1300 section.
- Seth Strout [Jenison] gained 241 rating points while winning the Under 1100.
