Michigan Chess Magazine
The Magazine is undergoing a transition. Michael Shulte's final issue of Michigan Chess, "Early Winter", is available online. Inside, you will find detailed coverage of the Bottom Half Class Championship, among other features. While the mailing has been delayed, Jeff Aldrich informs me that the magazine should be in the mail shortly.
The MCA board thanks Mr. Schulte for his service as editor. In addition to the magazine, Michael has been quite active on the west side of our state as an organizer/director and frequent contributor to the westmichiganchess.com website.
Please welcome our new editor, Michael Montalvo. Michael urges anyone who would like to submit content for publication, or anyone offering assistance or comments to contact him at mmontalvo@yahoo.com. Michael can also be reached in person at his store Brain Games. Brain Games is a sister store to All The Kings Men, and is located at Universal Mall in Warren.
Michigan Chess magazine is published six times per year. Subscription to the magazine is included with your MCA membership.

Update:
Jeff Aldrich informs through the MCA forum, that the magazine was mailed March 6. Sincerest apologies to our members for the delay. Quoting Jeff Aldrich, "we are taking steps to remedy the situation for MCA members." This may involve a professional mailer solution.
New editor Mike Montalvo is targeting April 15 to send his first issue to the Printer. This will be the May/June Issue. Add about 30 days lead time for Printing and Mailing. Readers should expect to receive this edition of Michigan Chess about May 15.
Going forward, we expect a return to normalcy. Mike will publish six issues per year according to a normal schedule. See the attached page for the anticipated Magazine Schedule.
