ADVANCED CHESS CAMP
When: June 25 - June 29, 2007
Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am until 3:00 pm
Where: East Lansing: 314 and 319 Berkey Hall on MSU campus
Teacher: Organizer and Instructor, Ray Garrison, has been organizing chess and games camps since 1998. Ray Garrison is the chess teacher for several Ann Arbor schools winning several state championships. Ray Garrison is the original owner of Chess Express (sold in 2000). This year's counselors include Justin Brerton and David Sundeen and Ray Garrison.
Cost: $199 per camper if paid by May 15. After that, $229 only if space is available.

YOUTH CHESS CAMP
When: June 25 - June 29, 2007

BEGINNING CHESS CAMP (ages 4-9)
When: July 9- July 13, 2007
Monday thru Friday, 12:30pm until 3:00 pm
Where: Ann Arbor: Go Like The Wind! Montessori School, 3540 Dixboro Lane
Who: This camp is open to any child age four through nine. No knowledge of chess what-so-ever is required. This new camp is designed to introduce beginners to the game and will cover the basics of the game and introduce basic tactics and checkmating patterns.
Teacher: Organizer and Instructor, Ray Garrison, has been organizing chess and games camps since 1998. Ray Garrison is the chess teacher for several Ann Arbor schools winning several state championships. Ray Garrison is the original owner of Chess Express (sold in 2000). Ray will hire qualified rated chess players with teaching experience to help teach this camp
Cost: $125 per camper if paid by May 15. After that, $150 only if space is available.

INTERMEDIATE-ADVANCED CHESS CAMP
When: July 9 - 13, 2007
Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am until 3:00 pm
Where: Ann Arbor: Go Like The Wind! Montessori School, 3540 Dixboro Lane
Who: Open for all kids ages 7-15. All campers should know how to play chess.
Teacher: Organizer and Instructor, Ray Garrison, has been organizing chess and games camps since 1998. Ray Garrison is the chess teacher for several Ann Arbor schools winning several state championships. Ray Garrison is the original owner of Chess Express (sold in 2000). Ray will hire qualified rated chess players with teaching experience to help teach this camp, oh, and Mr. O, too!
Cost: $199 per camper if paid by May 15. After that, $229 only if space is available.

SPRING LAKE SUMMER CHESS CAMPS
When: July 10, 11, 12, 2007 Beginner (Grades K-8)
July 17, 18, 19, 2007 Intermediate and Advanced (Grades 3-12)
9:30 am until 12:00 noon
Where: Jeffers Elementary School Media Center
14429 Leonard Rd. Spring Lake, MI 49456
Details: Camp trophy and grade group medals will be awarded. All players receive a certificate. Mentors include State Chess Champion, Gold Medalists, and All-Conference Medalists.

Camp registration normally fills up in May. Make out a check to Spring Lake Schools and include child's name, phone number, your email address, and grade that your child is entering next fall. Send this information to Joe Singerling at Jeffers Elementary School, 14429 Leonard Rd. Spring Lake, MI 49456.

Cost: Three Day Camp $45
One day fee $20
Siblings receive 20% discount (1st child $45, next child $36)

THINKING GAMES CAMP 1
When: July 16 - 20, 2007
Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am until 3:00 pm
Where: Ann Arbor: Go Like The Wind! Montessori School, 3540 Dixboro Lane
What is Thinking Games Camp?: All games played during this camp are thinking games. Some games are traditional, such as chess, reversi (Othello), connect four, backgammon, cribbage, etc, others are modern abstract games such as Set, Blokus, etc. Mr. Garrison will bring about fifty good thinking games. There will be five tournaments, including RISK, STRATEGO, BUGHOUSE, OTHELLO and one other to be announced. This camp has proven to be very popular.

Who: This camp is open to any child who will be in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade in the fall. Knowledge of how to play chess is not required but is recommended

(some exceptions may apply if the student has had good results in tournaments)
OPEN TO ALL AGES first grade through twelfth grade.
