Directions:
The Carnegie Building is the historic library located directly across from the new library in downtown Petoskey. There is free parking on Saturdays in the permit lots behind the Carnegie, and access is through the atrium between the Carnegie Building and the Crooked Tree Arts Center. The tournament hall is on the 2nd floor, and a skittles room and restrooms are located on the basement level.
Format:
4-round Swiss style USCF tournament
Open section open to all including Unrated.
Reserve section open to under 1200 and Unrated.
Time Control:
45 minutes per player with a 10-second delay
Rounds:
9:30am - Noon - 2:30pm - 5:00pm
Entry Fee:
$10 in advance (through OnlineRegistration.cc) or $15 on-site. Youth age 18 and under are free. Youth discount applied at checkout when registering at OnlineRegistration.cc.
Registration:
Advance entries by June 20: Go to the OnlineRegistration.cc home page, scroll down to "Petoskey District Library" and "Buy one" to register.
On-site entries: 8:00am to 9:00am at Carnegie Building (2nd floor) in downtown Petoskey, Michigan.
Prizes:
Handcrafted, glazed ceramic trophy mugs with chess and Petoskey stone logo awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in both Open and Reserve sections and to top under 1600 in Open and top under 700 in Reserve.
