K through 12 - Beginner or Experienced (students will be grouped by grade)
***Limited to the first 11 per grade (register ASAP to ensure entry).

Time Control:

11 rounds (10 minute games versus students in your own grade / section).

Rounds:

Chess Tournament Schedule: Entire event 9 a.m. - 3 p.m...(6 hour event)
Check in:  9 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.  (Practice games 9 a.m. - 9:50 a.m.)

1 st round 10:00 - 10:10
2 nd round 10:20 - 10:30
3 rd round 10:40 – 10:50
Snack Break 10:50 – 11:05
4 th round 11:10 - 11:20
5 th round 11:30 - 11:40
6 th round 11:50 - 12:00

Lunch 12 noon – 1 p.m.

7 th round 1:00 - 1:10
8 th round 1:20 - 1:30
9 th round 1:40 - 1:50
10 th round 2:00 – 2:10
11 th round 2:20 – 2:30

Awards 2:45 - 3 p.m.

***Everyone will be able to leave at or before 3 p.m.

Entry Fee:

$45 if paid before 3/27/2024. $55 if postmarked or called in after 3/27/2024.
$75 at the door (- if spots are available) Parent entry is a flat $45 while there are
spots – includes adult lunch. Phone in entries; Call Sal (248) 219 – 5624 to
register. We also accept PayPal – please send PayPal payment to Sal’s email:

notes of PayPal payment). Please make checks to Chess In Schools (please
add $5 FEE for PayPal & Credit/debit). Zelle accepted (no fee for this option)
