Directions:

East Mitchell is the main street in downtown Petoskey, and the Carnegie Building - a historic library converted into an event venue - is across the street from the new Petoskey District Library and adjoins the Crooked Tree Arts Center. Please use the lobby entrance between the two buildings with stairs and elevator to the 2nd floor. There is plenty of free parking in lots behind the Carnegie Building which are permit lots on weekdays, but open to all on the weekend. These lots are accessed from East Lake Street across from the Emmet County Building.

Format:

One-day 4-round Swiss tournament with an Open section and a Reserve section (1200 and under/unrated).

Time Control:

G/45; d10 for both sections: Each player has 45 minutes with a 10-second delay per move. Clocks and chess sets will be provided for Reserve section players.

Rounds:

9:30 am – 12:00 pm – 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm

Entry Fee:

Adults over 18: Advance entry is $10 by online registration or mail. On-site entry fee is $15.
Youth 18 & under: Free (but all players must have USCF and MCA memberships)
