Summary
Michigan Junior
The Michigan Junior is our State Individual Scholastic Championships. Grade grouping include Junior (HS), Young Junior (K-8), Children's (K-5), and Young Children's (K-3). Each group has a Championship and Reserve section. Top in Grade 9-12 of the Junior Championship represents Michigan at the Denker Tournament of High School Champions at the U.S. Open. If not decided at the Michigan Women's, Top Female finisher in the Junior Championship represents Michigan at the Haring National Tournament of Girls State Champions at the U.S. Open. Top in Grade 6-8 in the Young Junior Championship represents Michigan at the Barber Tournament of Middle School Champions at the U.S. Open. Top in Children's Championship represents Michigan at the Rockefeller Tournament of K-5 Champions at the U.S. Open.
