Format:

Six-Round Chess Tournament with Touch-Move Rules (you touch, you move)
Non–rated; Participants must know how to play and understand basic rules.
SK-8 within grade levels; 9-12 in one group; Adults in one group
Open to Public; SK-12 Students and accompanying Adults

Time Control:

15 minutes total each round

Chess Tournament Schedule:
Entire event 10 a.m. - 3 p.m...(5 hour event)
Check in:  10 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. 
(Practice games 10 a.m. - 10:50 a.m.)
1st round 11:00 - 11:15
2nd round 11:30 - 11:45
Lunch 11:45 - 12:25
3rd round 12:30 - 12:45
4th round 1:00 - 1:15
5th round 1:30 - 1:45
6th round 2:00 - 2:15
Awards 2:35 - 3 p.m.

Entry Fee:

$60 before 4/26; $70 thereafter or at door; Accompanying Participating Adults $50 (No refunds)
Box lunches available for purchase with registration for $12; On site for $15
